Providence Health Care is a teaching organization that offers clinical placements to a wide range of health care professionals from our affiliated universities and colleges.

The Providence Health Care Division of Nephrology has an important role in the University of British Columbia’s undergraduate medical curriculum. The Division has a mature nephrology postgraduate training program, and participates in the Experimental Medicine and Clinical Investigator programs of the Department of Medicine. Since 2011, it has also offered an international post doctoral fellowship in home based therapies, transplantation, dialysis and health administration.

The Renal Program also provides numerous opportunities for training of nursing and allied health providers including RN’s, LPN’s, Renal Technicians, Biomedical Technicians and Engineers, Pharmacists, Dietitians, and Social Workers.
